Default DIY Fog Light Mod

Let me just say, easy mod to accomplish, but there are two pain in the *** steps, the first step on pain in the *** scale of 1 to 10 is a 6 taking the module out. Putting the module back in is a 10 on the scale of pain in the ***.

However now enjoying independent fog lamps!

The fog lamps typically on turn on with the headlights, I rewired the module so that I can turn them on without the headlamps being on.

okay I see...but you still need VAGcom, and then another guy in there (and I've seen it said around here too) say that you can do the mod on VAGcom without bothering with the switch at all...

either way, I guess I should stop dicking around and get an ebay cable and the $100 VAGcom license?

Well I have a B5 and I know that with the B5 you have to do it via the switch. But I heard with a B6/B7 you can VAGcom it.
