Does anybody know?
I've posted this a couple times on the b6 side but get only vague answers.
Can someone tell me if I can go stage 1+ on a b6 frontrak w/cvt. I'm not a racer I'll never do repeated 1/4 mile runs but I would like a little more than just the stage 1.
I don't want to blow my tranny. Anybody know anyone whose gone 1+ and been okay with their CVT? I know this is the b5 side and CVT's weren't an option but you guys know your ****. Just wondering if you know anything about the CVT's max torque limits.

Do they have a CVT in any quattro's? I would so buy one of those haha. As far as holding hp I honestly don't know seems to me that it should hold up fairly well to that but idk how much more. So I would say stage 1 sure go for it. On a side note I did a quick search and found this http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1263254 should make for a good laugh.
I don't think you will but I'm not a tranny guy, I'm a body man. My knowledge about CVTs is somewhat limited but what I do know is that they are belt driven. I would have to say about 3-400 hp. But like cincyTT said, it should be fine for stage 1+.

But frequently I've found that many products can handle a little more abuse than the manufacturer claims.
