Default Does anyone know how to fix a rip in a leather seat?

So my drivers side seat has a really bad rip. I've had it since I got the car! That's the only bad thing about the interior, other than that everything is in brand new looking condition. Could someone give me some tips to fix it myself. Thanks!

i can only imagine reupholstering the seats would be wicked expensive. you could put some seat covers over it or maybe just have that one section replaced?

Black electrical tape Ghetto, but it gets the job done and prevents the rip from spreading

Just adding myself to this thread in case anyone has a good answer (not that electrical tape is a bad answer)...

I too have the embarassing rip in the driver seat in an otherwise perfect interior...

So my friend just told me about this repair kit for leather seats. He said that it's basically a patch that comes with an electric iron. He said I could get it at autozone. I wonder if this is what I need and not something that is going to make the rip even worse.. hmm decisions...

I feel like that's more designed for vinyl seats, not leather

wrapping the whole seat would be the only real way to fix the Pleather... Again another Audi f-up all these seats rip... Mines ripped too but I found a place that will do the work for $250 but I just tinted my windows for $75 and now no one can see it!
