Sorry to hear that man but the same thing happened to a buddy of mine and while he was driving away his hood flew up GTA style. He just put his head out the window and continued to drive home. What a sight that was.

i wouldnt go through insurance. believe it or not that may total the car.

yeah insurance isn't a factor anyway because I didn't have collision coverage. this is the first time an accident has been my fault... *sigh*...

ouch! that hurts...them semis are bad news! there to slow and to freakin big! lol anyways good luck with that man...i always look over my shoulder when i switch lanes to and i have came to some close calls my self. And that hood thing, to many stories on my side, idk why i have so many friends who have their hoods fly up lol

Not with the audi but, been there done that...except the hood smashing part.

Was driving around 5-7mph and smashed into those ugly *** echo's. Since my car was lower i passed under the bumper of the echo. She had 2 small scratches, i had a 1k worth of damage and that is because i repair the car myself.

Its a pain to fix, you will have some work to do before everything aligns the right way. You may save a lot of $$ if you find a good local junkyard. The costly part will be the paint if you repair the car but dont paint it yourself.

Yeah I agree that a CF hood is probably pointless on a 2.8 - but this is probably an excellent opportunity to upgrade to some one-piece clear-corner headlights and an S4 bumper, eh?
