I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to reset my ecu and then how to do a throttlebody alignment. I have a vag401 scanner, that says it does them, but I'm still semi new to all this. I have the 17972 TBA code that was thrown when I tripped a relay. I have replaced the relay but I'm still getting the code.... My car has been starting fine, but last night it took a few turns extra to turn over. Battery was checked. Just trying to trouble shoot before I buy a new throttle body. Thanks!!

No reason to reset ecu but if you really want to just unhook the battery for a few minutes; then open up vcds -> engine -> measuring blocks -> type in 060 (098 on earlier DBC cars) -> switch to basic settings. Let it sit for a minute or two while it's adapting and you should be good to go

I've followed this procedure with a Brand New TB from FCP and a cleaned old TB and everything read Voltage and degrees except when I get to Basic Settings it says "ERROR"
I'm at the point of checking my harness.
Anyone got a line to throw me as far as RossTech and this whole ERROR thing?
