Hey guys. Another problem has arisen with the a4. The engine used to make a knocking noise like once a second. After I Sea foamed the gas tank and the intake it started to make a knocking noise constantly, around 4-6 times a second. I didn't do the crank case because i still have about 2k miles on this oil. However, now when I turn on my car i get the word oil flashing in my trip meter but i never get the light. i have checked my oil and its at a perfect level. I was doing so searching and found this thread that seems to be what a am going through.

The question is. I have another full can of Sea foam. should i sea foam the crankcase and see if it breaks up an sludge that may be clogging the pump? or should i look into replacing the oil pump?

some additional information is that I use Castrol 5w-40, and my oil temp gauge never goes past half way.

Ohh, and on a side note. when I Sea foam my intake I use the break booster vacuum line. Dose anyone know of a better vacuum line for the 2.8s? I'm not sure if I'm getting all six cylinders.
