Engine mounts!
I replaced the engine mounts on my 97 yesterday. The one's I took out were original w/170k on them to the best of my knowledge. The difference is amazing. No more slop and slack felt in the drivetrain during shifts, and letting off/on the gas while cruising. A more direct and solid feel for sure. There have been a few posts where people complained of the stick shift moving up/down while cruising. I had that in the most severe way and it is now gone. Before I was able to grab the intake mani and physicaly shake the engine. Now it doesn't budge. Since I had to drop the sway bar to r/r I also replaced my sway bar bushings. Not sure if that made a difference. Just thought I'd share.
The old ones are hollow and light as if all the liquid core had leaked out, yet there was no sign of a leak. The old drivers side was especially spongy. I got them locally HERE I'm trying to get a job there.
If you can't find a part by going through the menu selections, do a search. They have almost everything.
They are a wholesaler for oem Audi/VW/Porsche and basically have the same inventory as the dealer. They've been getting a ton of my business lately. There are few things that they can be undersold on. I don't know if shipping is reasonable or not.

i replaced mine with 034's mounts and there was a very noticable improvement. it wasnt night and day, but maybe my stock mounts werent that worn. only had 100k miles. i also didnt know the stock mounts were liquid filled....? im almost positive the ones i took off were not.
Search "a4 motor mounts" on their site. They are $70ish for both from there You wouldn't know they are liquid filled by looking at them. There is a seam on the bottom where you can see sealant is used. Thats where they would leak from. I was going to get 034's solid mounts but didn't feel like spending ~$200 on mounts.
