Euro Plates
does anyone here has a picture of their car with a euro plate in it? ill appreciate it if it has the stock bumper. i just want to see what it looks like on a 99 a4 fwd stock bumper with a euro plate in it, and how it is mounted on the stock bumper..
Ahem: Just took care of this tonight!
Remove the 2 screws holding the plate to bracket. Now you'll see three screws, flush with the bracket. A 3mm allen wrench will fit in there, though I'm not sure its the right tool. Press hard downward while unscrewing so as not to let the wrench slip and strip the screw. Remove the screws, and remove the bracket. Now you've got three large holes. I put the screws back into their smaller holes, but theres about a 1/2" diameter hole around each. Still deciding what I want to do about this. I can just cover it with the euro plate, but will that protect the bumper shell and rebar from water issues? The car is not garaged and its oregon so lots of rain, I'm just worried that water getting behind the euro plate and into those holes may cause rust or other problems. Anyone know if the rebar or inside of bumper can have adverse effects from water collecting on them?
