Ok so I pulled into a parking lot and hit a pretty big hole. Everything was fine I parked and turned the car off, then I came out 2 minutes later and started it and it started shaking and the Check engine light started flashing. I drove it like 500 feet to advance auto parts to scan it. I've got a misfire on cyl 2. its code p3020 I think.I'm gonna try to get in at the dealer tomorrow morning but it'll be tough cause they are only open 8-12. Is it ok to drive to the dealer I live less than a mile from them. Also what caused this and what kinda repair costs am I looking at?

 

Don't drive it, you've got a bad coil pack. Just walk the two miles, it'll be good for you

 

Is there only 1 of those? If not how will i know which one i need to replace And how much will it cost?

 

If it is a coil pack, any idiot can change it. Cyl #2 is the second one from the front. At the dealer, they are about $40/pack

So I don't need to make an app. I should just get the pack and that will clear it up?

 

if your check engine is not flashing then its ok to drive , take cylender 2 and check for spark it could be your spark plug or coil pack, take out cylender 2 and if its not sparking switch it with another coil pack their pretty simple to take out i can do it in less then a minute

 

Basically. All you need to install is a flathead or key to remove the engine cover and then a 5mm allen wrench to remove the coilpack if you have bolt down packs.

 

Its got new plugs in it, and the CEL is flashing.

 

What do I do if i put a new pack in and its still running bad, also if it fixes it do i have to clear the codes or do they go away on there own?
