Default !!!!F**ked some s**t up!!!!

So I was driving through some construction came up on an intersection and it was a ******* rollercoaster. Bottomed my car out!!! Coolant light immediatly comes on. I am thinking get this thing off the damn road. So trying to find a parking lot I notice some smoke comming off my car in the rearview. ****! The engine is getting a little louder!!! Damit, get off the road!! Then the engine starts to knock. Temp gauge is still under half at this point, but there is that delay, so might not be accurate. Come around a corner to park in a church, dies. **** NO!!!!!!! Coast in park that bitch. Inspection: Hole in the oil pan, coolant sensor line tore open, other **** just ******* mamed. No warning signs on the road about a bump, filed a report with the police. Have my mechanic come tow the car and see what else is fucked. Monday I will be filing a claim with the city, see how far that gets me, ******* are to cheap for a sign, what makes me think I will get paid. So had about the funnest thanksgiving night ever!! Tried to post some pics of the damage, but the files are to big. Try to get some up tomorrow.

That's even worst. I thought you were running aftermarket (lowered). I think you might have a case against the city here. Hopefully they'll pay for the damages.

If you have an un modified suspension and the road caused you to damage your car, its the cities bill to flip. Don't expect them to just pony up the dough though.

Sorry to hear about that man. My mom is the HR director for the city where i grew up, and she used to handle insurance claims for the city as well. I just gave her a call and she said you're going to want to talk to the city solicitor's office. Take lots of pictures, both of the damage to the car and where this all happened, paying close attention to the road damage and lack of signs/warnings. Also she said you're going to want to price out how much its going to cost to get all the stuff fixed, down to the penny. If you show up with a random round number of how much you think it'll cost they're going to ignore you. Speaking of that, she said they're probably going to deny the claim at least once, hoping that you'll just go away. However, she said if you be persistent they'll eventually pay attention to you, but it's going to be a long process. Good luck man!

EDIT: Another thought, have you contacted your car insurance provider yet? If you have comprehensive coverage on your car, this might be something that your insurance would cover, that way you could avoid all the hassle of trying to get the city to foot the bill..
