Default Failed inspection, need advice

So I had my inspection today and it failed, of course.

The three main things that I was told was that the tail lights were cracked, they must be replaced. That the front brake lines need to be changed and that something at the top of the front left suspension is finished, I'm guessing a strut mount or something?

I am looking for tail lights but they seem to be like 160-200$ each....

The brake lines probably wont be expensive to fix. As far as what as wrong with the suspension well it was unclear. I was told the top of the strut is loose and thats causing the noise, what is up there? Just a strut mount?

Anyways I am pretty upset and not too sure what to do for the lights...

Any ideas?

Long story short, when I scrapped my old car the wrong plates got cancelled and now the only way to get new plates is to pass this ******* inspection... So yeah, it sucks.

I'm thinking I will get these lights: http://cgi.ebay.ca/AUDI-A4-S4-1996-9...item1c118d5639

Then I need some ideas what could have been wrong with the suspension? What is up there that could be loose and making noise. (other than control arms) a strut mount?

And are the brake lines hard to change? He said brake lines but at the end where they connect to something, not the brake end...

Brake lines are probably the rubber part that is dry/cracked unless your car is really rusty and the steel lines have rusted...
