Maybe, I just read it somewhere that with something different, VMAXX could get really competitive.

Kayak, that was in a thread I recall seeing not too long ago, but mac was right: the idea was adding stiffer springs to the V-Maxx dampers. Had something to do with the Vmaxx springs being too springy IIRC. Can't recall who started that thread or who posted about the springs, but some searching should help.

Dankster I'm with you, I think given our applications, the V-Maxx setup would be a good fit.

I had vmaxx for a week before pulling it off, I thought they were very poor quality. Not a soft or firm thing, more of valving in the shock I think. I didn't think they were all that soft either, kind of seemed rough riding and the worst was that they would bottom out and I wasn't even close to slammed with 25.5" ground to fender I could still fit a finger and a half between the tire and fender and I wanted a softer rather than stiff ride. For example, on a fairly long rolling hump in a freeway on ramp that I hit every day the car would get g'd upward and then down in a relatively slow rate as the hump in the road was long, the vmaxx would bottom on this roller; sheit in my opinion. I've had several other suspensions on my car (stock, S4, H&R Sports w/ stock sport shocks, H&R sports with bilsteins) and none of them, or any other car I've ever ridden in bottomed on this freeway on ramp but the vmaxx did.

My personal experience was that vmaxx sucked bad. they were a major pain in the *** to adjust the height on too; almost impossible to move the perches on a brand new kit once installed. Just my opinion based on experience with them...
