finally done with the suspention...vmaxx kicks a$$
Since they are rebuilding, see if they can tune the ride more to your liking.. shouldnt be hard at all for them to do.
Hey gang, called Stratmosphere today. Obviously these guys are a bit biased, so help me round out the opinions.
He said the shocks were good quality, and TUV approved. They had a 2 year warranty and all kits had the new rear spring so it can go low. The previous problem was the old rear spring wasn't specially designed for euro cars as it is now.
So, the guy said that slamming it was a bad idea, even for a day or two. Now it makes sense, but is it really all that harmful? He said below 70mm and I lose that TUV approval. I dont know much about suspension, but I know people cut the bumpstops. This seems like asking for a blow strut as a bump stop is the last defense between bottoming out and causing damage. (right?) Also, how bad would it be if I slammed this set up every now and again?
He also said that since coil springs were progressive and not linear they worked well. But lowering springs (i assume h&r race are in this class) are linear and therefore not adept at being compressed to different ride heights. Anyway, help me out guys. New to the adjustable suspension game. I really like the idea of cheap coilovers, but I know usually if you dont buy nice, you buy twice.

That's where my thought process was headed, get the Neuspeed race springs with 2 inch drop on all 4 corners for about 250, then, as money becomes more available, get the V-Maxx coilovers and swap the Neuspeed springs... Any opinion on this guy? I'm pretty new to the whole game, not just suspensions...
