Hi everyone.
I currently have a 1997 audi a4 1.8t quattro with an automatic.
The car came with one of these keys. Its not a flip key but a key with a rubber remote.
Now I want to convert the key to one of the switchblade keys (flip key). Is this possible and how would I get it done?

The blades on the switchblade key is nothing like the standard key with remote. It wont work.

It depends if you have a really early 97 or not, but the later one can be switched over to the flip style remote key. Key blank is 30.00 and remote is 65.63 dollars. And you can program the remote yourself with instructions from this forum. Give us a call with any questions. Thank you, Jeff.
