Default Forgive me but AWM same as AEB

Hi

I am looking for upgrades to my 1.8T and one of my friends says he had all of his wiring upgraded to what the S4 B5 had. Can anyone explain how this is accomplished?

Also would upgrading the coil pack increase performance. I am looking on ECS tuning and can only find coil packs that say "AWM codes only". I have an AEB engine so am i right in assuming this coil pack would NOT fit my AEB 1.8T?

Thanks. Link here: http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B5_A4-...nition/ES7538/

AWM and AEB are definitely different and you have no reason to change coils. If you want an upgrade then get your car tuned from GIAC, Unitronic, APR, SpeedTuning or whatever. Further upgrades would be a better diverter valve (which may even be necessary with a tune) and a high-flow cat and bigger downpipe, etc. Then there are turbo upgrades... And your stock turbo is likely quite worn, anyway. It could even be garbage without you knowing if you're not really familiar with these cars. The stock K03 turbo doesn't have good durability.

LOL... most likely some fool that sees his coilpacks say "S4" on them, so he tells people he has S4 parts.
