Freaking Vibration Can't Find The Answer!
Alright well im just about going nuts here. Let me lay out my problem. At a stop, put the car in first gear, release clutch and begin to accelerate. When this happens i get a vibration. VERY similar to a bad motor mount. Let me just say that I work on porsches and know quite a bit about cars. So I check the records, no motor/trans mounts have ever been replaced. The vibration was enough to vibrate my soda can in the center console cup holder. So I order and install both front motor mounts, both trans mounts, and the snub mount. At this same time I replace my fuel filter, since its never been done. I start the car and take it for a test drive, vibration is way worse! I read the forums and find that I need to loosen the mounts and let it idle for a while with a couple high revs. No difference, as a matter of fact the mounts didnt move at all (i marked them). So i take the car off the lift and go for a quick test drive (maybe this will settle the mounts). No luck. I hook up vagcom to make sure this is not an engine issue. I have two codes P1602 - voltage supply term. 30; voltage too low. Second codes P1654 - Check DTC memory of instrument cluster; no codes found. So i reset the codes and do a throttle body alignment. No changes still vibrates. The vibration at this point is minimal at idle, but when driving the car is painful, sounds like im at 5k rpm when im at 2500.
I know its not the trans, i push in the clutch still vibrates.
I know its not the tires/wheels cause vibrates when i raise idle at a stand still.
Any suggestions will help me in taking the next step. Im wondering if it has something to do with the fuel filter replacement? I have replaced everything listed above with OEM parts. The motor mounts are made by FEQ.

Its a posibility, but really how can i tell? There are so many variables i think. Its either a motor mount issue, or a fuel filter issue, or the vibration from before is now prevelant because everything is "tighter". Its a possibilty that its fuel or spark issue. Not sure what groups to check within vagcom though.
im thinking its gotta be a fuel hesitant issue i would say bad coil packs but your vagcom doesnt say anything about that do the full seafoam treatment and lets see where you go from there put it in your oil gas tank and brake booster lets see where you go from there
umm no but you could always take a multimeter to the pump and see what is reading also i have somthing special for you

Not from me audirpm - I was hoping to get one from here. My car vibrates and hesitates. Pretty sure I have tracked ot down to the Trottle Body. The only code was an intermittent Mass Overflow Sensor (pretty sure that was it). Could be a fuel filter? Who knows. That vbration is a killer though and trying to track down is not so much fun. I feel your pain.
I have the same problem. I changed my mounts just because i was already down there doing the oil pan gasket. so i changed the mounts and trans mount. when everything was put back together i had the same bad vibration. the vibration wasnt there before.
Tomorrow I will try leaving the mounts loose so they can settle in. i havent tried that.
