He did a gasket change, now we have a no start issue.

To me it sounds like the timing is off. Any other opinions? There is a gas smell as well.

I reset his crank to TDC and set his cam timing as shown:




Turned it by hand and got a few turns without a problem, then the timing was off again. Is there anything obvious I am missing? Could be a couple teeth off, is my guess. I am familiar with interference motors (Subaru), looks like im going to know more about Audi's then I ever wanted to know, wife might end up with a TT convertible or a4 convertible for her next car.
