I'm replacing front speakers in my 2000 A4 B5 (w/ Bose system) and putting in Polk Audio DXi400's. I'm new to this, so I have a question: Are the tweeters connected in series to the OEM speakers? Seems like it from wiring diagrams. The new speakers do not have any other "out" connections. Any clues would be much appreciated.

 

I believe they're wired in parallel. In any case, if you're using factory wiring you don't have anything to worry about if you plan on continuing to use the factory tweeters.

I replaced my front Bose speakers with some 5 1/4" 2-way Pioneers a coupla weeks ago. I couldn't find the crossovers to save my life so I just installed them and try not to think about it.
