I just bought a 1999 A4 1.8t and it started fine and drove good, UNTIL yesterday i was driving and then i noticed power loss i couldnt rev the motor and then i died. i waited for a 10mins and then tried to start it again. it started for 1 second and it died and then i checked for spark it was good. and then i threw some starting fluid and it started again for a couple seconds and it died. After i took out the FP i decided to check fuses. *the fuel pump fuse #28 was missing. and then i took out the FP relay and it has some burnt marks on the pins. my question is how did the car start w/o a fp fuse(#28)? and could that have possibly damaged anything else...? i should be getting FP and FP-relay tomorrow. hopefully that does it
