Default Fuel level sensor

Ok..so i replaced my fuel pump last month and now my fuel level will only register at about 7/8 of a tank when the tank is full...When i was replacing the fuel pump there is no way to get it out of the tank without banging into the fuel level sensor about 20 times..so my question is does anyone know how to ajust the sensor so that it givea me an accurate reading...

I'm not sure if these sensors have adjustments, they use a float device. I have the same issue on mine, shows just as you say 7/8 full and I can drive about 50-70km before the gauge starts to actually drop. Best option is probably try and give the sensor a clean and play with the float device and wiring around the sensor and see if it springs back to life to register a full tank. If it really bothers seeing 7/8 full, buy a new sensor, they not cheap about 200 for genuine. I couldn't find an aftermarket version for it as I don't feel 200 is worth just to see the gauge go to full.

Can you go further on empty than before? if so the arm of the sender attached to the float got bent upwards somehow, so that with the tank full and the float all the way against the top of the tank, the other end of the arm attached to the resistor network can no longer reach full scale.

Just bend the float lever (the actual float arm at the float) so the float will be lower in the tank when installed. Shouldn't take much maybe 1/4" or so.

Heres some pictures of what the senders look like.
