Default Gas problem

On my way home from work today I filled up my tank with gas, from the gas station to my house is about 5 miles so I drove and parked my car. About an hour later I went into the garage and found about half a cup of fuel under my as tank and the bottom of my gas tank (directly behind my passenger rear wheel) was wet. It was not leaking when I found it. It was also hot today (95) so I'm wondering if maybe the gas expanded and there's some sort of pressure relief valve on the gas tank that let out the gas? I may have overfilled it since I have to hold the nozzle sideways and mostly out since my charcoal canister doesn't work for **** (I know I should fix it). Any ideas???

Sounds like you may have just overfilled slightly. I'd wait until you're down about 1/4 tank and then check again.

I believe the over-fill drain is before the gas cap. That way if you over-fill the tank it doesn't spill out all over the paint.

Alright good, just making sure there's not a hole in my gas tank near the neck or something
