I got a 2000 audi a4 1.8t and my gauge lights are darker, their is no way to brighten or dim it and the dealership said itll cost 500 dollars to fix, does anyone know what the problem is and if their is anyway i can fix it for cheap, thanks

 

very common problem with Audi instrument clusters. Unfortunetly pretty much your only two options are getting it through the dealer for big bucks, or buying a used one from a dismantler. I actually just got one from German Auto dismantlers today for 100 bucks. Not a bad deal.
