i have a A4 1.9 TDI 96 the glow plug light on the dash is flashing not when the car starts when it drives off the light starts flashing. ive changed the plugs and the light is still on theres no power loss and that is the only problem on the car 250 000miles any ideas thanks

 

It probably was tripped when the plugs were determined to be worn out. If it's anything like a lot of the sensor fault codes on these cars, you may have to manually reset the warning light with VagCom - a lot of the codes we get can't be reset simply by disconnecting the battery or changing the part.

I'm taking a shot in the dark with this one, but that's what seems logical to me.
