Good deal, or not?

Smile Good deal, or not?

2000 Avant, 1.8T
68,000 miles (driven by a mom, to/from work, intown)
Well maintained, oil ~ every 4K
Replaced: o2 sensors and MAF (several times), also SAP, tie rods, timing belt.
Clean body and interior.
$6,500.

Discuss.

Good deal. Jump on it. If they started the price at $6500, you might even be able to get it for $6k flat! That would be a borderline insane deal.

just check the engine, make sure is not salvage, good luck, and thats great! price...

Good point. A good (and German) Audi mechanic is checking it out tomorrow. But it does come with a CarFax. And it's a southern car so there is no rust.

Is this a Craig's list or eBay deal, or a local one?

Have been some scams out there lately with deals which turned out to really be too good to be true. Would advise shying away from something you can not kick the tires on in person if that is the case.

If it is local at that price and checks out with the mechanic...get it!

yeah if carfax and all checks out w/ mechanic offer $500 less but jump on it even if she won't go lower.
