Default got an engine light on???

engine light came on the other day. read something like secondary air inlet incorrect or something like that. any ideas as to what that means or how to fix it?

that probably means your secondary air pump is dead or clogged. unclog it or replace it.

and BTW when you post stuff like that, include the actual code you pulled. forgetting to write it down is no excuse- if you cant write down a 6 digit number you shouldnt be posting about it. the definition of the codes varies between code readers. the actual number does not. also information about your car is useful as well.

TMI...lol

there is a small (1 inch) tube that connects to the front of the air box and runs to the SAP, you need to pull the pump

The hose to/from the pump could also be cracked.

Model/Year/Engine/Miles is all we really need

yeah that hose gets pretty brittle after a while. it could be cracked open.

btw - My SAI pump has been dead for over a year... I just live with the CEL... It's only for emissions anyway (mainly).

First thing to look at is the hoses. Get under the passenger side front bumper and follow the hoses from the sai....
