Got fudge?
Sludge/fudge, same thing right?
I know its a widely debated thing that some oils can be pushed well beyond the limits of recommendation, and the idea is gaining a lot of support that there are even some space-age oils out there that can nearly outlast timing belts!
So I thought I'd share this lovely link with you guys. My good friend who sports a MazdaSpeed3 (MS3) had someone on his Mazda forum share this link, and I decided to pass it on to you guys to help curb any desire to test these wonderful claims as this chap did
Enjoy!
PS: This wasn't actually a "test" of how long oil can last. That was just my way to get your attention ; ) This guy just thought it'd be a good idea to not change the oil for a really long time.

Ouch. AutoRX is good but...
1) They should have cleaned things more than that. That was pretty half-assed.
2) They should run Seafoam for at least 3 oil changes, and THEN do AutoRX. Starting off with just a bit of Seafoam, not enough to knock everything loose. Actually, AutoRX then Seafoam might work well, also. But I don't think AutoRX alone is up to the task.
3) The oil pan should be cleaned out, too.
4) The screen on the oil pickup tube is going to get clogged and F this guy over if he doesn't keep cleaning it off, which is probably a pain (disassemble whatever he needs to to pull it out and spray it down good with brake cleaner)

Yea, I thumbed through a couple of the pages of posts and it seems that is the route they took after physically scooping out all the goop. After all, this project dates back to late July/early August so they've pretty well done exactly what you listed lol. Lots of flame towards the end of the posts though, starts on page 7-8ish.
The guy wouldn't say. The OP of that thread was using the resource for a friend's car and when someone else on that forum asked why he waited so long, his sole reply was "the reason is not important." Which is partly why I joked about him doing a test to see just how long the oil would last, because IMHO if I randomly decided I wanted to see juuuuuuust how long I could stretch an oil change and held it out that long, I wouldn't be too keen on telling people either haha
