Got my display fixed today...
I just got my cluster back from DNA Speedometers and they did a great job replacing my driver information display. It was a little pricey ($235), but I just couldn't stand looking my 75% dead display. Anyway, I just wanted to give props to DNA for a great job and recommend them to anyone who is looking to get their display fixed.
^I believe $900 is how much it will cost to change out the whole panel (not just the display screen).
This is how much the dealers would usually charge since they won't replace/fix just the screen it self.
Keep us updated on how the screen is working out for you. Hopefully it won't have anymore dead pixels even in the long run.

It couldn't have been easier. You just pop out the little piece of plastic molding between the steering column and the instrument cluster, revealing two torx screws. Remove those and disconnect three wiring plugs and carefully slide the cluster out. I put a cloth over the steering column to avoid any scratches.
I shipped the cluster to DNA at my cost and the $235 included return ground shipping. They had the cluster repaired within 48 hours of receiving it and shipped it back the same day they finished the repair. BTW, they can upgrade the shipping to overnight for an additional fee, but from GA to FL ground only takes two days, so I just went with ground. Total time from removal to re-installation was 7 days and, yes, I drove the car around without the cluster and had no problems (although I had to clear some open-circuit codes after I put it back in).
