Well I've had my A4 for 4 months now. I've been driving it for 2 months now. I've replaced all tie-rod ends, the rear bearings, the Airbag module and drivers side ignitor, breather hose, changed the oil, Put new Goodyears on it.....ANNNDDD Got my first speeding ticket in it.

Kinda sucks. I didn't even realize I was doing 80 (speed limit was 55). The worst part is I was past by a Mercedes not even 5 minutes before I got pulled.

The officer was cool about it. He reduced it down to 75 in a 55 and wrote it just as a speeding violation and not a reckless driving. So all I have to do is pay the fine.

OP, glad to hear it got reduced. I've had my last two reduced as well. I think as long as you aren't a complete dick they'll usually cut you a break.

Laser or radar? You need a Blinder M27 (better: Laser Interceptor) and a Valentine One if you speed.

 

Radar detectors are illegal in the state of Virginia.

I'm fairly certain that the Blinder M27 would frowned upon as well.

BTW I hate VA, I was doing 80mph on cruise control in a 65mph zone, hit a 55mph construction zone and got pulled over literally less than 100ft inside the 55 zone. Cop gives me a reckless ticket. ******* wouldnt budge a single mph on the ticket, and doing 80 isnt reckless by me. I told him he wasted his time writing the ticket and left.
