Grinding Noise On Start up?

could be air injection pump and can be noisy on the later cars depending on mileage and there is a cheat

lol yes that is true but believe it or not i've had both go out. my tensioner just broke two days ago
Oh man, sorry to hear that =\ Was there a unrecalled flaw with the 2.8's or something?

Cam Chain Tensioner.

Mine was replaced under warranty by the dealer.

when i get the timing belt doneill have the guy check everything out. im guessing its the timing belt slipping because its only on morning start ups after the car hasnt been driven in a why. i know slipping happens with an old timing belt on first start ups.
