Default Gt2871r elim or GTRs elim

I'm torn between which of these two turbos to get I was going to get the gtrs since I have the tiptronic transmission but I was thinking I could get the gt2871r elim and keep it at low boost till I can build the tranny than crank the boost and for a 100 dollarsmore it seems like a better deal. what do you guys think?

If you're going to get a bigger turbo (especially a 71r) you shouldn't be looking at doing things one-at-a-time. Getting a 71r and running it on low boost would require ghetto software, ghetto injectors, and ghetto tuning overall. Build your turbo from the floor up, with things you can put in separate (HF exhaust mani/inlet+outlet hoses) and then go for the bigger things (turbo/oil lines/injectors etc)

the elim will bolt right up to your existing dp and exhaust manifold, where the gt2871r has a different flange and would cost more money for a new exhaust manifold and dp setup. they both will give u good power, some say the elim is better, some say the real turbo is better for our cars. either way is going to be a huge difference!

You are not going to see a huge difference between the GTRS and GT2871r Elim kits, this is why it is only a $100 difference between the 2.

A Elim kit with all the supporting mods would cost around $4500, but just for the hardware/injectors/tuning your looking at around $2600-$3000 but that depends on which tuning you get.

We offer the GTRS kit with Revo tuning and 550cc injectors for $2549 and the 2871r elim for $2649. Link to the kit on sale
