Default Hawk HPS brakes "clunking"

Hey guys need advice, just changed to schwaben drilled/slotted rotors and Hawk HPS Pads.

Test drove, now hearing clunking noise on all wheels, sounds like pads are floating in caliper? used grease it came with but figured that was the problem, so I just used brake glue.

Loud Clunk only happens when braking in low speed. On the free way, no clunk.

Open everything up and everything looks ok, no loose parts etc.

Did research online, looks like other cars are having issue with Hawk HPS pads......

Any idea?

Bought brakes for ECS tuning Front = HB269 F.763 and Rear = HB271 F.635

your inner pads are probably loose. there are 3 clips that hold the pad to the piston

tnx hiword, clips are are good, we made sure clips were on there tight.

Will just wait a few week until brakes/rotors bed together.

on my hawk hps on the back brakes the metal plating that faces the caliper slipped and was cutting into my rotor, luckily not the face. And it too only happened at low speeds you may wanna check that out

update = (Now clunk is only on left front rotor/pad) I waited about a week so that pads/rotors could bed together, sound has NOT gone away.

Next thought was rotors were warped...... so today I "bent my brake dust pan" towards rotors and test drove and rotor it did shim across part of them.

will try to get a replacement......
