6000 and 8000k deliver more blue, and less usable light.
Mine are OEM RS4 units, and the difference between them at night and my friends B5 2000 2,4 SE running 6000k HID's is like night and day.

4300k is used as OEM for a reason - they produce more light.
yeah i know 4300k is the best temp for lighting, but will it still have that really clear white (not yellowish!!!) light that you can spot from miles...?
THANKS guys!
edit: btw last night i realized my right headlight was out so i went to check it and the light bulb blew (literally) so i have bits of glass in my projector housing thing, do u guys have any idea what might've caused this?? it seems like the right headlight keeps blowing on me. its the second time since i bought it in march.

I wouldn't use hids with non projector housings (stock 2 piece 96-99). The beam pattern will be crazy and you'll blind everyone!

how would that VVME kit (H7) look with my projector headlights??
and what would you guys recomend 6000k or 8000k??
i just want a blueish tint to it. kinda like the new audis have....
but not like those ricer with like purple headlights!
if you install HID's YOU NEED TO HAVE PROJECTORS (this is for everybody in here) OR YOU WILL BLIND ONCOMING TRAFFIC. reflector housings with HID's don't have any beam cutoff and look like poop.

6000k is blue, anything over 8000k is serious rice. 4300k is white and has the best light output (it's the audi oem temp) and it starts to degrade from there...

ok so i've been wanting to upgrade my lights for some time now, after reading this i have learned a lot so thanks guys!, I have a 98 B5 2.8 with the single light (not separate fogs), how hard is it to switch the housing and get the separate fog lights with the projectors and then install the HID kit? is there a lot of wire splicing that needs to be done or can it be almost "plug and play" so to speak, or even can it be done? and if it can be done where can i find the new projector style and separate fogs?

OOOO so i dont really understand what you want to do with your lights???
If you want to have HIDs in your headlights its all plus and play. I just installed mine and it was as easy as 1-2-3. If you want your fogs HIDed then im pretty sure its Plus and Play also. PM me if you want some help with it. Like i said i just put mine in last night and they look sweet.
