headlights depos

Default headlights depos

i have a 01 b5 30v and i found someone selling there car and they have black depos and would sell them to me and i was wondering if they would fit on my car it is a 1998 a4 2.8

yeah. it should fit fine. well, actually is it one piece or 2 piece headlight kit? 1 piece requires a little fender modification.

they are one piece here is the link to were the car is http://charlotte.craigslist.org/ctd/1285503780.html the only reason i am wondering is because on ebay it doesn't say my year on there it just stops at 99 and then there is another ad on ebay that goes from 99.5 to 01 so...

1996-1999 = pre-facelift = two piece headlights

1999.5-2001.5 = facelift = one piece headlights

Seems like yours is the 2001 and is the facelift version.

It's probably a one-piece design meant for the pre-facelift cars, which have a two-piece headlight design. I imagine it'll fit, but I'm not positive. To retrofit one-piece lights to a pre-99.5 car requires grinding on the fenders to remove a lip that isn't there on your car. Then they fit and bolt up. What I think you'd have to do is make some wiring changes so that the lights will work with your car (this is required for a pre-facelift car getting facelift lights, so you should have to do the opposite to the wiring to make a pre-facelift light work on your car).

ok thanks guys i called and talked to the guy again he went from 50 bucks and my headlights to 250 with my headlights so no deal pretty much thanks for the help

$50 plus your headlights? I don't think it's worth it.

I guess I'm just not a big fan of those Depos. The only ones I would go for would be the ones made by Helix.
