Default Hello all

Hi iam absolutely new to this forum, and the brand Audi in particular, I have a few questions if you wouldn't mind helping me out with them...?

First off, no, sadly I do not have the audi of my dreams (a 1998 a4 1.8t 5-speed) yet, but I was hoping you could shed some light on what I should look for when I do buy it, like noteable ticking, random noises, stuff that doesn't sound right...etc that are common problem, or soon to be problem for this model.

2, I was wondering what kind of gas mileage you get when you are on the accelerator all the time, and when you grandma foot it?
3, I would like to know what the 0-60 time is, and what the 1/4 mile time is of a stock or modifyed model?
4, I would like to know what upgrades I should get as soon as I get it?
5, Would this car do well in the snow?
6, What kind of AWD does it have? all time or part time? (ie, 1 wheel pulling at a time, or all wheel all time)
7, Is this car a reliable car if treated well?
...Finally, how well does it handle, corner, steer, and shift?

THANKS A MILLION

Default RE: Hello all

gas mileage: A tank is 16.2 gallons or 15.6 in wagons. I get like 310 per tank when im flooring it and 440 when driving like a grandma
0-60: pretty slow
1/4: stock you will be lucky to pull 16's
Upgrades: chip and boost gauge should be first
Snow: My car did great this past winter, i felt really safe, but i did start sliding a couple times when i wasn't paying enough attention
AWD: full time as far as i know
reliability: Only if you take good care of it but that comes at a price
handling: pretty considerable understeer but still corners way, way better than any car i owned before it
shifting: with these transmissions you need to learn to shift really smooth, before you get used to it you will probably notice some clunking
