First of all this is a great site and I learned a lot by searching and reading up. Now I know that I have a 99.5. I have A4 1.8T with an auto trans.
I have the brake yellow light on the dash. Looks like there are no sensors on the front brakes. The wires are cut. Where do I get jus the sensors. I also have the air bag light on. How can I find out which one or which sensor is the culprit?

Don't know if there is a difference between FWD or Quatrro but the first is FWD and the second if for Quattro:

you might find them cheaper somewhere else if you have the time to look

 

have u got and obd2 scanner? u might be able to find out which airbag is bad that way

 

Alot of times the air bag light can be caused by a loose connection. Check the purple(pretty sure its this one) plug under your ds seat

 

I have the same light for the breaks. When I changed the breaks about a month ago, the connector on the pads didn't match up with the connector on the car... Yep, light is still on... I just ignore it now.

Welcome to the Forums, this site is pretty awesome isn't it? I joined last month and have already learned so much! Be sure not to point and laugh at Mr. Phil, he's still sensitive about not having quattro... (BTW Phil, if you decide to buy a B6, make sure you get quattro, it is so sweet!)

 

Damn Mr. Phil quickly became a punching bag.....it's a good thing he's taking it in stride.

You'll get used to that light, there are a ton of us who have that light permanently on. Mine is due to a shot ABS module.

Just take the two wires from the connector and connect them, your light will go away if that is the problem. If the circuit is open it will throw and light, and if its closed it 'thinks' your pads are brand new.

 

yea yea yea... and IF i end up getting a b6 and not keeping this then i will no doubt be getting the quattro.. gotta be 5 speed though too... ideally i would like the 3.0 quattro manual tranny... but who knows its not like i jsut won the lottery haha... if that was the case, i would buy u all and s4... and my self the new v10 r8 haha

 

Thanks for the tip about connecting the wire. I though to do that, but I didn't want to throw the computer all out of whack (it is an Audi afterall). But, if someone else has done it already, then should be cool.
