Default Help!

I bought my 96 2.8 quattro on wednesday, the guy i bought it rfrom said that the only thing keeping it from being inspected was the rear springs needing to be replaced. We bought the car and brought the price down for the cost of the springs. I took it to the shop today to have it over looked and realized that i needed some work done on it. The car wasn't accelorating right, and the steering wasn't right. After a full day of diagnostics and overlooking the car, i got a quote for $2000 of repairs. The repairs are as follows;

Broken Coil Springs
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow insufficient
Needs a new EGR valve
New Rear Swaybars
Left front axle boot torn apart
New Spark plug wires
Lots of Cracked Vacuum lines
New Cat converter
New Belt and Tensioner

I guess my question for you guys besides why was i dumb enough to buy an audi as a teenager and not really that mechanically inclined, is if i fix all of these problems and work my butt off and pay the 2000 for the repairs, will it last me a year, or how long will it last me, is it worth all of this? Thanks

It's a 12 going on 13 year old car. 6 of those 8 problems are considered normal wear and tear. The broken/bad coil springs and bad sway bar(s?) are questionable. The 2.8 engine is great. Audi's can be very expensive to own if you arent mechanicaly handy.

I have pictures of the coil springs that are broken in half. They are broken shifted and laying on eeachother, causing a really annoying squeak and unsafe to say the least. And teh swaybar is loose? So i guess that could just need to be tightened or replaced fully.
