I have a 98 A4 Avant that is totaled. It hit a mail box @ 45 mph. The post for the box was stacked cement blocks 8 of them. Total damage is 6k, Oh yea I only had liability coverage so I get nothing from the Ins co. Salvage yards are only going to give me around 500. The body has 187,000 engine has 66,000. I had the engine put in last February with 52,000 on it. I would like to get at least 1200 for it. I need to have it moved by the end of the week or i will be charged storage. Any help greatly appreciated

 

Put it in the classifeds on here, Audizine, VWvortex, craigslist, ect. Not sure how any of us can really help you other than purchasing your engine which may be damaged from hitting a concrete mail box post at 45. IMO its always a good idea to carry full coverage even if its a little more expensive.

 

Thanks. I will make a post with pictures. The engine is not damaged, it is drivable with a fixed radiator. Not even a flat tire..
