i have a 1998 1.8t auto and just got the tranny replaced and it still slips.. does it matter if i use another brand of trans fluid or i have to use the audi brand(20 a quart) and they said i need 9 quart and that is 180 dollars. so i really want to make sure before i drop 180 for fluid.. thanks for the help

 

Transmission fluid does matter though I don't know offhand what types work well with Audi. Was your torque converter replaced as well? Those can slip. They are sometimes included with transmission replacements, but not always.
