Default Help! Car Won't Start After Drive...

My car won't start after I drive it. It happened yesterday and again today. I'll get in to drive it somewhere and it will start right up no problems, then I'll get somewhere to make a quick run in and out and when I go to start it up the car won't start, it doesn't even crank but everything comes on radio, etc... It will start after 30 to 45 minutes after just sitting there and when it does it starts up fine, no check engine light or anything. I don't know if the weather is an issue with this its been about 70 75 degrees here where I live... Any ideas on what it could be? It's a 97 A4 1.8t quattro.

prolly the starter is getting heat soaked... cools enough after 1/2 hour.

no the engine runs fine afterwards... but now the car won't start not even crank at all since I last parked it and that was a few hours ago the car is cold now but when I try to start it, it just doesn't crank, you can hear something electrical under the hood click on but no crank at all and battery level is fine, it was just replace a few months ago. I'm thinking it's the starter? How much of a PITA is this to replace? and is there a write up about it anywhere I can't find one at all, is there anything else I should check? thanks guys...
