Unhappy Help a fellow form member?

Alright so I bought a k03 from this kid online. He tells me he got it from his local dealer and that he crashed his car before he could put it in. Well it came after some arguing with him because he didn't have any money to ship it to me. Its not a real k03, its some generic one. I don't want to install this on my car. A guy I work with wanted to help me out and sell me a k03 he has but its from an s4 and won't fit my car. Anyone have a turbo laying around either k03 or k04, Or can point me to a place that has one? The classifieds never work for me on here. I'm willing to pay good but I cant afford a grand or anything right now.

You might also try checking out other forums... dunno if you have done that or not... Audizine and VWvortex are a couple of other forums with classifieds.

Sure you can. Just take off the turbo inlet hose and stick your hand down there and feel for play. Pretty simple. Next time you buy used parts, give the seller 20 questions... Drill them. The more inquizitive you are about the merchandise, the less likely the seller will be willing to sell you crap.... Mostly.

Yea, I should've. I just put an inquiry into shokan. What car does k04 come on stock that will bolt on to our cars?

The 225hp TT came with a k04 but it's design is for transverse engines only. The k04-15 that works with our longitudinal engines doesnt come stock in any car. It's a modified k03, only slightly better than a k03s. If I were you I'd look out for a k03s off a B6 or B7.
