Default Help with getting new turbo

I just did a compression test and the results came back good so I will be getting a new turbo soon since it is on the way out. Going BT is out of the question for me since I don't want to spend that much and even getting a ko4 is not a possibility for me since I have an APR tune. My question though is this - can I put a Ko3s on my car and where can I get a new or rebuilt ko3 or ko3s?

sell your chip, buy my gaic k04 file chip, then buy a k04... problem solved. or, buy a k03 from me. it should be a k03s since it came out of a 2001 awm 1.8t.

yea but the racetech fmic only has 2.25 in piping as well as my exhaust is 2.5 inch (i think that is what borla comes with). How many miles on your ko3?

dude, that's perfect for a k04. ditch the k03s idea. and like said before. sell APR chip. buy k04 turbo and tune. your problem is solved. you can do it. just save up as much money you can until your turbo finally goes out

man you can run a k04 on a stock intercooler no problem. its definitly worth it. Figure you pay the same for a used k03 as a used k04. then buy some used tuning and you have the worlds cheapest turbo kit... esp since you already have nice supportings mods.

btw the k03s i have has 27k miles on it.
