Default HELP! how to replace auto/tiptronic shift ****. button broke!

Ahhhhh...the button for my shiftknob broke. I'm now stuck using a screwdriver to push the inside mechanism. A piece of the inside also broke off. I must have pushed it too hard or something trying to get the button back in after i took it out . How do i remove it!!!!

The collar on the bottom of the **** has to be pushed down. It's a biotch to get down. Then the **** can come up and off.

thanks for the reply! I actually just figured it out. Now I can just pull up on the collar to shift into park, drive, etc. Now I need to find a damn replacement. I've seen the tip mod. Cant believe its $60. Might try making one and using a manual ****, but would be fine with just finding a replacement tip ****.
