Default Help identify dealer packages on a4

Hello,
I just bought the wife a 99.5 1.8t Quattro without any manuals and the trunk has been debadged. I am trying to identify what packages my car may have on it. The previous owner said the owner before him claimed it was an "s line" but didnt seem to sure about it. I now figured out there is no s line for a4s.
After doing a lot of looking around I believe I have figured out that my car has the sport package as well as the winter package. I believe this because I have the tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel as well as the emblem on the steering wheel that comes with the sport package, as well as heated seats and a ski bag that comes with the winter package.

If I do have the winter package though I should have a heated door lock as well as heated mirrors, although the drivers door looks to had been replaced at some point. I believe this because the drivers door is the only door with chrome trim, which I found only came on 2.8s, as well the door panel is poorly put back together. So I believe I may be missing the button to activate the heated mirrors and likely dont have a heated mirror on the drivers side, or the heated door lock.
As well, I am not sure if I do have lower than standard suspension that should be on a sports package.

Pieces I have in question are the leather seats and silver dash/door trim, for I have seen these both sold as s4 parts in the classifieds here. Were these parts in the sport/winter package along with being standard s4 equipment?

I seems your car came with the cold weather package. You have a sport wheel, and the ride height looks right for sport suspension. However, there was never any "s-line" b5, just an a4 with sport package, or s4.

However, the chrome trim around the drivers door doesn't mean anything besides the door being replaced at one point in time. The original door was most likely damaged and replaced with a junked 2.8 door in the same color

everything u said was exactly what i was thinking.

are the leather seats and silver interior trim part of those 2 packages or could the previous owner had swapped them from an s4?

im assuming there part of the packages, but just want to know from someone who knows better then me, since i couldnt find anything too official on the topics of dealer packages

Seats are stock. Clothe seats were available, but I am not really sure why. I think they were an option and they are kind of sought after.

I don't know about the aluminum inlays. Mine has them, so maybe its a sport package thing?

Many interior parts are swappable with s4 parts, but some, like the seats, require more work to put them in. This is my car with s4 seats installed

I'm not 100% positive but I believe aluminum inlays were stock on all b5 1.8t's with other colors as options.

I've only ever seen 1.8t's with silver trim and 2.8's with wood trim, I don't think there were any other options for the A4 apart from different types of wood.

To OP, your seats aren't leather, they're the leatherette that was notorious for ripping at the seams, standard on the 1.8t. If you want to replace your duck-taped armrest find one out of a 2.8, they used real leather that ages very well, mine still looks brand new. The heated mirrors are automatic, the heaters are always powered and have a thermostat that turns them on and off. I'm not sure how the heated door locks work, but if it's anything like does BMW they'll come on when you pull the handle with the doors locked.

I thought he was talking about that little bit of brushed aluminum in the door. This part, only Audi

OP, the easy way to check if you have the sports package or not is to look at the shocks, if they're red you have the sports package (which it looks like you do.)

thanks for the 2.8 center console tip, ill be looking for one of them. do 2.8s have real leather seats as well? my drivers seat has duct tape all on it from the heat element burning the seats, and a small hole in the passenger seat

Yes, all 2.8s have real leather.

Here's a useful link.
