Default Help Identifying.....

I recently purchased this B5 1.8T. The information screen does not display properly, I plan to replace it eventually. The help I need, is to identify what this symbol is. There is a symbol in orange, and red. Let me know what you guys come up with. I have a pretty good idea, but I will wait to here some feedback.

looks like the low window washer fluid symbol to me (in yellow)

the red just shows like the temp and radio stations and what gear you are in. nothing to worry about in red. the yellow should be looked into though

Gotcha.... The person I purchased it from said the "yellow warning" is the washer fluid, that is what it looked like to me. In person, the information screen is slightly clearer. The red section is what I am most interested in. It looks as though, a word or two scroll in the lower section of the red just above the gear indicator.

That would be the engine coolant temperature warning light.

Check if you have enough coolant. Supposedly you shouldn't be driving the car if the warning light is flashing.

To me the red indicator looks like a temperature symbol too. I think that it may represent low transmission fluid too. I cant tell at all what the letters/symbols are, just above the gear selector....The warning indicators appear after I have put the car into gear. My coolant level is good.

Keep the opinions flowing everybody....!!!

If it's full then it could just be a faulty code.

no it's not words, the pixels aren't small enough to create words that small. replace that thing asap. pm auditech79 on how to calibrate it for your car

I suppose it would be a good idea to hook up my code scanner. There may be some codes, but the check engine light is not coming on. I will try it tomorrow.

I found out what the red indicator was. Kriptonik, you are correct. I happened to unscrew the coolant resevoir and found that on the bottom the plug was not plugged in. So I plugged it in and no more red indicator. Thanks for the help.
