Help Identifying an issue
Hey there,
Just bought a 1999 A4 quattro, loving it so far. Needs a lot of love, but a great car none the less.
Anyway,
I'm getting a beep and a message on my display right now, and to the display being very shot, (I've read that this is a pretty common issue, Work in progress on it) I can't read the full message. Right now All i can tell is it likely says "BRAKE" and then there is another word, likely four letters. Can anyone help identify this issue?

Check brake fluid, make sure it's not low.
Check brake lights, make sure they're all working.
Check brake pads, replace if necessary.

I changed the bulbs in my 3rd brake light literally 2 days ago. Pretty simple except for getting the cover off (stick a flat-head under the back of the cover, lift up the back, then pull back - the clip things on the side of the plastic cover have no use, dunno why the are there). The bulbs are 99 cents each on ECS. You'll need 4.
I've had my 99 A4 for almost a year now and while it needed/s quite a bit of TLC, I'm loving it, so I'm right there with ya.
