Hello guys! I've been driving my 1997 Audi a4 quattro 1.8T Automatic for about 1 year and have been dressing it up since! I recently bought a interior LED kit, LEDGlow kit,and due to Virginia state laws not allowing distractions as such, I wanted to light up my front seats with lights upon opening my door. Unfortunately, I do not have the knowledge for knowing where to connect the ground wire for that to happen.

 

The ground can connect to anywhere as long as it's metal to metal

 

You could also tap into an existing ground if thats easier. In our car, remember brown is almost always ground.

You want the door trigger wire. If I remember correctly, you can find that wire behind the kick panel on both the passenger and driver side. There are a lot of wires back there but there should be only one that is the wire color on the chart.

 

Thanks for all your help! I went ahead and found a positive wire under my driver side dashboard. I found a wire that is only hot when the key is turned. If anybody needs help or pictures with installation or getting into fuse box or wires under the dash, feel free to message me!
