I just bought a 2000 a4 quattro with 189k! It's black and all stock and auto. I know auto sucks but I still wanna do a few things n see what u all think. I need new rear struts/shocks and want it to handle really well and will prob do all four so what set up? I don't want to spend a ton I just want a lil upgrade. Also I think I'm gonna do 19x7.5 or do a lip n staggered. I also wanna replace the front bumper n like the s4 look. Might do that all way around. Needs pass fender too. I have tan leather interior and the drivers seat is ripped and and console lid broke, the rest is great condition oh and all the grab handles wore down to white like it seems like they all do. And help is appreciated. Thanks

A chip and replace the DV would get you some horsepower gain.

You'll need to lower the car if you decide on switching out the wheels. Also S4 skirts and S4 rear/painted rear would set off the S4 bumper nicely if you went that way.

Staggered on Quattro will need some calculations for tire sizes so you won't mess up the computer.

 

My ex had the same car years ago and I put a rfl bov on it. It sounded good but is that bad? What's difference between that n dv? Also I want a hid kit but xantec I bought was junk

 

What suggestions for lowering it without breaking my bank

 

Also I was told my driver controll arm n passenger upper n lower need replaced

 

Oh and my check engine light is on because of some smog thing?

Dude, take a deep breath and read the sticky post right up top called FAQ. absorb that and then let's address this stuff.

 

A blow off valve takes the left over boost from the turbo and pretty much dumps it out. It gets purged into the air. A Diverter valve recirculates the air back into the intake stream.
