Default Help Please.

alright so i was driving the other day and my 96 a4's clutch started to slip and now its sitting in my driveway and it wont budge and i can put it in gear and release the clutch completely and it wont stall any ideas on what it might be?

Im gonna go out on the limb here and say its the clutch.

yeah but would i thought it was wierd that it doesnt stall with it in gear and that it just completely wont move at all within a day i was reading up on it and do you think it might be the half shaft?

and it doesnt grind when i put it in gear so im pretty sure its not the clutch and i really dont wanna waste 100 bucks to get it towed to a place then back to my house

does the speedo show anything while you are sitting with the clutch out? in otherwords, does the speedo think you are moving when you are not?

if the spedometer moves while the car stays still, its a half shaft. if it doesnt then your clutch went out. if the clutch is no longer working how would it stall when in gear? no clutch = engine is no longer connected to the transmission.

yeah im gonna have to jump my car tommorow cause its raining right now to test that out thanks for the help though guys its much appreciated =)
