Default Help - rear wheel bearing

Everything was going great on the 2000 a4 1.8 atw rear wheel bearing until the tapered friction bolt on the lower control arm (the one where the emerg brake line and the regular brake line go around) started spinning with the 19 mm nut. What to do?

what are you talking about, the only bolt on the bottom you have to take off is the one for camber adjustment, and that has nothing to do with the ebrake

Poor description on my part. Not the camber, but the tie rod assembly (which travels between the two brake lines - that was the reference when I didn't know that it was called the tie rod). That nut wouldn't come off, the stud was spinning in the ball joint. I just took it apart back at the toe adjustment and took the whole thing to the shop to get the bearing pressed - so they took it apart for me, too. When it went back together, I could compress it enough to get it to hold so I could tighten it. I was back driving it tonight. The car is oddly quiet now with new bearing....
