Default hey guys its been a while!--refinishing my wheels

getting tired of the look i've had for a few years, but dont feel like droppin a couple G's on new wheels (even with my hookup), and mesh is my fav style anyways, so i'm gonna refinish these completely.

I'm going with a color called "blue raspberry" on the lips. it's a candy/anodized looking powdercoat, similar in color to my car, yet different. the centers will be in either a semi-flat or gloss gunmetal (leaning more towards semi-flat)

I began disassembling last week, and now have them all pulled apart and in for powder as of yesterday. Some may not like the look, but I believe it will give it an agressive new look, and it's definitely gonna be different than most anything else.

Here is a quick photoshop.

here is kinda an idea of the color (well, similar)

and a picture of what the lips SHOULD look similar to (color will be a bit darker)

here is a pic of the wheels pulled apart.

The guys at Class Act PP are going to blast the wheels down, then lay a chrome powder over the lip and barrel, then the blue raspberry powder over top of that to give it the anodized look.

The faces will be done in a semi-flat gunmetal. I decided on semi-flat because a high-gloss lip mixed with a high-gloss center would just look too cheap IMO, and the flat colored face will make the lip pop out even more.

And here I am just trying to find some cheap wheels with decent rubber so I can finally get off my old, beat up 15 inch stockers! Just a bit jealous, but should look great when you're finished!

I looked at the pchop and said to myself...

"Yup."

Should look incredible. Your wheels have always been my least favorite part of your car .
